Lettering On Deerbrook North Sign?
Fran Asks,
By the way, is someone working on the lettering for the Deerbrook North sign? I noticed it was gone and know we discussed having it repainted, etc.
Anyone know?

Deerbrook North Student, Caleb Torello, is a member of the Corp of Cadets at Texas A&M University and received one of its highest honors: “Squadron 12: Outstanding Freshman Cadet of the Year”.
The Cadets themselves vote on who should receive this award based on leadership, motivation, involvement in the Corp and TAMU clubs/organizations, and scholastics.
When not in school Caleb lives with his parents Steve and Mindy Torello at 1544 NE Neawanna Drive.
We all should be proud of Caleb’s accomplishments in his first year at Texas A&M. Next time you see any of the Torello's congratulate them on this accomplishment.

My amazingly talented daughter Rachel Ashley competed in the Lees Summit Chalk Walk on Sunday, April 29th. I have little doubt that she was robbed when she didn't win. And I'm not alone, both of the home town newspapers carried photos and one carried an interview with her.
Take this link to see the pictures I took at the Chalk Walk.

Brian Yates let us down.
I think I made a mistake when I voted for Brian Yates in the last election he appears to be more concerned for diplomatic protocol than what is best for his constituents.
He told the Lees Summit Journal that the reason the $46 million was removed was because the developers never approached him about it. So it appears that the $770 million dollar project proposed to the former Western Electric campus may not happen at all. If I was a state legislator and someone wanted to build a three quarters of a billion dollar project in my district I would be knocking on their door asking what I could do to help not getting my feelings hurt that they didn't contact me directly.
I don’t think I’ll be making that mistake again.
